Alteração do trajeto da estrada municipal JA - 21 que intercepta o câmpus da UNESP de Jaboticabal

The campus of the College of Agronomy and Veterinary in Jaboticabal (FCAV/UNESP) covers an area of approximately 820 ha, which is surrounded by three intermunicipal roads. One of these is the JA-21 unpaved road. This route, apart from connecting farms and country hourses to the city of Jaboticabal, is also the access via to Carlos Tonani highway (SP-333), which connects Jaboticabal to the city of Taquaritinga and Jaboticabal's ETE (Water and Sewer Treatment Station). However, regardless of the major benefits JA-21 provides FCAV/UNESP with, it also allows a likely escape route for criminals acting on the campus. For this reason, the present study proposes a bypass to the JA-21 route, thus improving security within the FCAV/UNESP campus. In order to carry out this study, a GPS planialtimetric survey was previously performed in the aforementioned road system, as well as in the area where the new route should be. Results indicate that an increase of only 700m to the current route should be enough to improve campus security, on the condition that the campus area is later enclosed.
