O ensino de yoga na escola: possibilidades e desafios

Resumo: The objective of the research was to analyze the results achieved and the challenges of the teaching and learning process of Yoga in Early Childhood Education within the Municipal Education System of Bauru. In a world where everything is quickly renewed with high technology, we realize the need to develop an inner look at yourself and how to deal with others more evenly. The practice of Yoga in school has shown to be an innovative and efficient body manifestation that focuses not only on physical development, but also on the emotional and social, as it inserts knowledge to learn to concentrate, respect the limits and the individuality of the other, besides of the benefits to the practice of physical activity, making it a formation not only school, but the human being completely. The research is qualitative in nature and the data collection was done through an open questionnaire, applied to 51 teachers of Early Childhood Education under the Municipal System of Education of Bauru. It is possible to introduce the practice of Yoga in Physical Education classes, without losing sight of the importance of making adaptations due to each age group and number of students per class, as well as some difficulties identified by the teachers, inherent to a process of pedagogical innovation. It was observed that it is possible to maintain regularity in the development of Yoga with the children, and the teachers showed positive results regarding the behavior question, decreased anxiety, increased concentration and joy and fun in the activities. It is hoped that this research will contribute to the insertion and construction of the knowledge of Yoga in schools, reflecting on its difficulties and possibilities, concluding that its applicability is possible and of relevant benefits for the formation of the children.

No mundo em que tudo se renova rapidamente com a alta tecnologia, percebemos a necessidade em desenvolver um olhar interno para consigo mesmo e como lidar com os outros de forma mais equilibrada. A prática de Yoga na escola tem se mostrado uma inovadora e eficiente manifestação corporal que incide não somente no desenvolvimento físico, mas também no emocional e social, pois insere conhecimentos para aprender a se concentrar, respeitar os próprios limites e a individualidade do outro, além dos benefícios perante a prática de atividade física, fazendo com que seja uma formação não apenas escolar, mas do ser humano por completo. A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa e a coleta de dados ocorreu por intermédio de questionário aberto, aplicado a 51 professoras da Educação Infantil no âmbito do Sistema Municipal de Educação de Bauru. Constata-se a possibilidade de introduzir a prática de Yoga nas aulas de Educação Física, sem perder de vista a importância de realizar adaptações em virtude de cada faixa etária e quantidade de alunos por turma, bem como algumas dificuldades identificadas pelas professoras, inerentes a um processo de inovação pedagógica. Constatou-se que é possível manter a regularidade no desenvolvimento do Yoga com as crianças, sendo que as professoras apontaram resultados positivos em relação à questão do comportamento, diminuição da ansiedade, aumento da concentração e alegria e diversão nas atividades.
