Resumo: This research aims to analyze students' opinions about a Yoga project developed with a group of the 3rd year Elementary School of a public school in Bauru - SP, seeking to reflect on the possibilities and challenges of the inclusion of Yoga in the school environment, especially with children. Sixteen children who obtained authorization from their parents to collaborate with the study participated in the study. The teaching and learning process lasted four months, totaling 13 weekly meetings lasting 50 minutes each. Yoga activities were developed in a playful way. Two methods were used to collect data: focal group at the end of the process and field observation, with journal entry to each class. The data collected were discussed according to the production of literature related to Yoga, the child and education. The analysis of the results showed: the positive acceptance of all the students to the ludic activities of Yoga; the affection with the postures realized in the classes; difficulties in flexibility, strength and balance for the execution of postures; positive changes in student behavior during class with teachers and other students; the understanding of some of the ethical and moral values linked to Yoga; self-knowledge; and the increase in the repertoire of manifestations of body culture. It is concluded that Yoga in the school environment enables the enrichment of the repertoire of the body culture of movement, contributing to the development of new possibilities within Physical Education, since the theme is accepted by all students.

It is concluded that Yoga in the school environment enables the enrichment of the repertoire of the body culture of movement, contributing to the development of new possibilities within Physical Education, since the theme is accepted by all students.Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar as opiniões dos alunos sobre um projeto de ensino e aprendizagem de Yoga desenvolvido com uma turma do 3º ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola pública municipal de Bauru - SP, buscando refletir sobre as possibilidades e os desafios da inclusão do Yoga no ambiente escolar, sobretudo com crianças. Participaram do estudo 16 crianças que obtiveram autorização de seus responsáveis para colaborar com a pesquisa. O processo de ensino e aprendizagem teve duração de quatro meses, totalizando 13 encontros semanais com duração de 50 minutos cada. As atividades de Yoga foram desenvolvidas de forma lúdica. Foram utilizados dois métodos para a coleta de dados: grupo focal ao final do processo e observação de campo, com registro em diário a cada aula. Os dados coletados foram discutidos de acordo com a produção da literatura relacionada ao Yoga, à criança e a educação. A análise dos resultados permitiu constatar: a aceitação positiva de todos os alunos(as) às atividades lúdicas de Yoga; a afeição com as posturas realizadas nas aulas; dificuldades quanto à flexibilidade, força e equilíbrio para a execução das posturas; mudanças positivas no comportamento dos alunos(as) durante as aulas com as professoras e com os outros alunos(as); a compreensão de alguns dos valores éticos e morais vinculados ao Yoga; o autoconhecimento; e o aumento no repertório das manifestações da cultura corporal.
