Resumo: The teaching of chemistry during the beginning of a child's school life is extremely important, because it is at that moment that it builds the first relations with science, establishing the bases for learning concepts that will be taught in the future. The question that leads to this work is are future educators prepared to introduce initial concepts of Chemistry in the initial grades of Elementary and Child Education taking their initial training in the Graduation course? Therefore, the objectives of this research are: check the teaching of chemistry in the national documents, which govern the planning guidelines in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education; identify, describe and analyze the experiences of Pedagogy students of the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, in the campus of Bauru. In order, to achieve the goal, a qualitative research was carried out, a case study, and the bibliographic survey will provide theoretical support in the stages of data collection and analysis. The procedures and instruments for collecting and analyzing the data are based on the National Curricular Framework for Early Childhood Education, the National Curricular Guidelines for Early Childhood Education and the National Curricular Parameters: Natural Sciences. We can verify that the graduation students, for the most part, do not feel prepared to introduce the concepts, needing improvements in their initial training and research in the area of Chemistry Education for initial grades

A questão que conduz esse trabalho é os futuros pedagogos estão preparados para introduzir conceitos iniciais de Química nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental e na Educação Infantil tomando sua formação inicial no curso de Licenciatura?. Sendo assim, os objetivos dessa pesquisa foram: verificar como se dá o ensino de química na formação dos discentes de Pedagogia da Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, no campus de Bauru a partir da análise das experiências dos mesmos e dos documentos nacionais que regem a Educação Infantil e o Ensino Fundamental I, sendo eles o Referencial Curricular Nacional para a Educação Infantil, as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educação Infantil e os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais: Ciências Naturais. Para atender ao objetivo proposto foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa, um estudo de caso, sendo que o levantamento bibliográfico ofereceu sustentação teórica nas etapas de coleta e análise dos dados. Os procedimentos e instrumentos para coleta e análises dos dados têm por base o Referencial Curricular Nacional para a Educação Infantil, as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educação Infantil e os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais: Ciências Naturais, sendo assim utilizado um questionário aplicado aos alunos do 3 e 4 ao do curso de Pedagogia da UNESP campus Bauru.
