Resumo: It is through playing that the child begins his journey through the cultural and social world, being in constant learning. Thus, the present course conclusion work aimed to analyze the Heuristic Play and its importance for the development of children from 1 to 2 years old. The toy is present throughout history, even in antiquity there are records of handmade toys, with various objects. However, nowadays toys are produced by the industry on a large scale and generally using a single material: Plastic. The main motivation to support this research is given by the importance of placing the child at the center of the teaching-learning process, leaving aside the idea that expensive toys bought in stores are needed to play, analyzing what they can do without the direct interference of an adult, in addition to investigating how Heuristic Play helps in personal and social development. This approach aims to provide free play with different unstructured objects, giving the child the opportunity to create plots, situations and fantasies, since playing is an authorial construction. Thus, through the methodology of bibliographic research, the scientific production produced in articles, books and database of the Scientific Library Online - SciELO on the way children from 1 to 2 years of age develop through Heuristic Play, with the using the Treasure Basket. With this study, the contributions of free play with intentionality in everyday life were verified, concluding that the Heuristic Play has as its main objective the stimulation of the child's creativity, the development of autonomy and the complete exploration of the objects used, testing its various possibilities.

Dessa forma, o presente trabalho de conclusão de curso teve como objetivo analisar o Brincar Heurístico e sua importância para o desenvolvimento das crianças de 1 a 2 anos de idade. O brinquedo está presente em toda a história, mesmo na antiguidade existem registros de brinquedos feitos de maneira artesanal, com diversos objetos. Entretanto, atualmente os brinquedos são produzidos pela indústria em larga escala e geralmente utilizando um único material: Plástico. A principal motivação para sustentar a presente pesquisa, se dá pela importância de colocar a criança como centro do processo de ensino aprendizagem, deixando de lado a ideia de que é necessário brinquedos caros e comprados em lojas para brincar, analisando o que ela consegue fazer sem a interferência direta de um adulto, além de investigar como o Brincar Heurístico auxilia no desenvolvimento pessoal e social. Essa abordagem, visa proporcionar um brincar livre com diferentes objetos não estruturados, dando a oportunidade de a criança criar enredos, situações e fantasias, visto que brincar é uma construção autoral. Assim, através da metodologia de pesquisa bibliográfica foram analisadas as produções científicas produzidas em artigos, livros e base de dados da Scientific Library Online – SciELO sobre a maneira como as crianças de 1 a 2 anos de idade se desenvolvem através do Brincar Heurístico, com a utilização do Cesto de Tesouros.
