The hypertension, characterized by the elevation of the systemic arterial pressure, is a chronic disease, caused by lots of different reasons and considered one of the most common cardiovascular risk factor, showing high hate of mortality. In Brazil, it’s estimated that one of five persons can develop hypertension. Considering that it is a changeable risk factor, health education is indispensable in the prevention and treatment of this disease. In order to facilitate the learning process, the goal of this work was elaborate a didactic material about hypertension, in a comic strip format, in order to provide some basic information about physiologic process of arterial pressure and hypertension care, in an effective and innovative way.
