Estudo de caso acerca da timidez na educação infantil

Resumo: Childhood shyness is indeed less researched by scholars and a child who is considered shy, is sometimes taken for granted by parents and teachers. If the shyness goes unidentified and is not resolved, it may affect the future and might add prejudice or affect the person's emotional, social, school and professional life. This paper presents a case study arising from a project that helped a girl who demonstrated characteristics of shyness in the classroom. The goal was to discover aspects relating to the theme and how it would contribute to the participant child's emotional development. All while collaborating information from the families, teachers and schools.The method used to achieve quality research on the case study follows a deep analysis of the child and establish relationships between theory and practice. The instruments used to collect data were the observations, interviews with the child's mother and teacher as well as playful meetings in the school toy library. The analysis of data clearly showed significant changes in the child's behavior and development inside and outside of the classroom. It concludes that the playing was an instrument capable of helping the girl to express her internal conflicts and in doing so; improve her socialization and communication with friends

Se a timidez não for identificada e trabalhada, pode prejudicar a vida emocional, social, escolar e profissional do sujeito. Este trabalho apresenta um estudo de caso que buscou-se, por meio do brincar, trabalhar com uma menina que manifestava características de timidez em sala de aula. Além disso, buscou-se pesquisar aspectos relativos ao tema, contribuir para o desenvolvimento emocional da criança participante e colaborar para a discussão desta temática às famílias e professores. O método utilizado foi a pesquisa qualitativa do tipo estudo de caso e os instrumentos de coleta de dados foram observações, entrevista com a mãe e professora e encontros lúdicos na brinquedoteca escolar. Os dados analisados demonstraram mudanças significativas no comportamento e desenvolvimento da criança dentro e fora da sala de aula.
