Resumo: The present research has as its objective to evaluate Freinet's technique of the Book of Life from the analysis daily records of students of last year of early childhood education (old preschool) and of the first five years of the of the basic education a public school unit of the city of Bauru-SP. Through the content Analysis Methodology, we analyze the link between the curriculum content and the material contained in the Book of life. Noting the records developed by students we did looking for analysis and pointing techniques used by Freinet in his works through the drawings, writings and other forms of expression of children. We chose this pedagogy, because the Freinet Pedagogy is a proposal which opposes the scholastic education, which is directed by exhibition lecture, devoid of student participation in the process of appropriation of knowledge. Célestin Freinet, French educator, takes as essential the student's interest in the teaching and learning process, for so much, developed from its everyday practice in the primary school, a living teaching. We check the presence of this teaching-learning relationship in the analysis carried out evidenced the existence of a variety of Freinet's techniques during the exploitation of books and the contributions of a pedagogy guided for critical reflection and knowledge construction, through autonomy and cooperation. Por meio da metodologia da Análise de Conteúdo, analisamos o vínculo entre os conteúdos curriculares e o material contido nos Livros da Vida. Observando os registros desenvolvidos pelos educandos fizemos análises procurando e apontando as técnicas utilizadas por Freinet em suas obras através dos desenhos, escritos e demais formas de expressão das crianças. Optamos por essa pedagogia, pois a Pedagogia Freinet é uma proposta que se opõe ao ensino escolástico, o qual é direcionado pela aula expositiva, destituída da participação do aluno no processo de apropriação do saber. Célestin Freinet, educador francês, apresenta como essencial o interesse do aluno no processo de ensino e aprendizagem, para tanto, desenvolveu a partir da sua prática cotidiana na escola primária, um ensino vivo. Verificamos a presença dessa relação ensino-aprendizagem nas análises efetuadas onde evidenciou-se a existência de diversas técnicas freinetianas durante a exploração dos livros e as contribuições de uma pedagogia norteada pela reflexão crítica e construção do conhecimento, por meio da autonomia e cooperação.
