Alfabetização linguística, matemática e artística: ações necessárias para a transformação da escola pública

This article aims to present considerations about the Projeto de Extensão that has been being applied in a Presidente Prudente's municipal school. Based on activities developed by a partner school in the areas of Literacy Studies, Mathematics and Art we discussed the necessities, difficulties and possibilities regarding the 1st cycle junior school students by commenting the initial results and the importance of realizing this kind of work. The results indicate that for many times teachers have difficulties when teaching children that do not know the ideal school environment rules and acquaintanceship dynamics neither or society's despite of great efforts. However the programs we have been developing have been contributing to demystify the idea that children who live in extreme poverty areas can’t learn properly and that there is a great possibility of reverting the scholastic failure picture if commitment, responsibility, perseverance and the right methodology are applied. The actions developed in the three areas in question show the possibilities for research and intervention as a way of transforming realities in the school context.
