Matematical Molding came to Brazil between the years of 1970 to 1980. It had a great intention of creating new methods, by improving mathematics in the country. The research was developed during some years improving and adding new supporters. In this research, we understood how some educational authors present Mathematical Molding. It has showed us how it works into scholar context, bringing some positive aspects and difficulties in its development. It also shows us, as teachers, ways of working with Mathematical Molding in schools and how it is discussed in official documents. This work is guided by a qualitative, explorative, descriptive methodology. The way of teaching Mathematics discipline needs differentiated means of approach to contribute in a meaningful way in students' learning. Modeling is a methodology, that when is well applied and worked with commitment, could bring excellent results in formation of citizens that would be able of relating to their environment with a critical stance
