Resumo: Abstract: The present study focused the play’s process in children with depression indicators or whose mothers had depression. The literature has demonstrated the importance of play to children’s development, as well as highlighting the inability or failure of this ability as a symptom of problems in the child. This study systematically reviewed the research literature with aim to identify studies about this researches focus. It was identified 16 separate studies that met criteria for inclusion. The review revealed evidence to support play’s relevance as an important resource in the psychology evaluation of depressive symptoms in childhood, with differences found in the behavior of depressed and nondepressed children in play situations. The review indicates there has been an growth in research in recent years, so that recent studies has been devoted to evaluating the effectiveness of treatment for children with indicators of depression, using play as a therapeutic resource.Keywords: play therapy; child; mothers; depression; child development

La literatura ha demostrado la importancia del juego para el desarrollo del niño, así como poner de relieve la incapacidad o la falta de esta habilidad como un síntoma de problemas en el niño. Se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura, con el objetivo de visualizar los estudios sobre el enfoque de esta investigación. Se identificaron 16 estudios que contemplen los criterios de inclusión . El examen reveló evidencia que apoya el uso del juego como un recurso importante en la evaluación psicológica de los síntomas depresivos en la infancia, com diferencias en el comportamiento de juego de los niños que poseían esta imagen. Hubo un aumento de la investigación en los últimos años, con estudios más recientes están dedicados a evaluar la eficacia del tratamiento para los niños con indicadores de depresión, utilizando el juego como recurso terapéutico.Palabras clave: ludoterapia; niño; madres; depresión; desarrollo infantil.Este estudo teve como foco o processo do brincar em crianças com indicadores de depressão ou cujas mães apresentavam depressão. A literatura vem demonstrando a importância do brincar para o desenvolvimento infantil, bem como ressaltando a incapacidade ou a impossibilidade dessa capacidade como um sintoma de problemas na criança. Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática de literatura, com o objetivo de visualizar estudos sobre o foco desta pesquisa. Foram identificados 16 estudos que contemplaram os critérios de inclusão. A revisão revelou evidências que apoiam a utilização do brincar como um recurso importante na avaliação psicológica de sintomas depressivos na infância, com diferenças encontradas no comportamento lúdico de crianças que apresentavam esse quadro.
