Digital literacy and its contributions in Basic Education

Resumo: | This work addresses some important concepts for contemporary education, such as digital literacy. The main objective is to show the contributions of this type of literacy to the formation of students in Basic Education. The research used bibliographic sources and carried out a study on digital literacy is proposed in National Curricular Common Base (BNCC). The contributions of Kleiman (2005), Soares (2009) and Gabriel (2017) were considered very important for understanding the concepts of reading acquisition and social literacy. Likewise, studies by Soares (2002), Walsh (2010) and Rojo (2012) on the concepts of digital literacy, multimodal literacy and multiliteracie stand out. Through this work, it was noticed that the opportunity to try an innovative way of reading, critical thinking development, teamwork encouragement and promotion of engagement in school activities are important contributions of digital literacy in Basic Education. |

O objetivo principal é evidenciar quais são as contribuições desse tipo de letramento para a formação dos estudantes ao longo da Educação Básica. A pesquisa usou fontes bibliográficas e realizou um estudo sobre como o letramento digital é proposto na Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). Foram consideradas muito importantes para o entendimento dos conceitos de alfabetização e letramento, as contribuições de Kleiman (2005), Soares (2009) e Gabriel (2017). Da mesma forma, destacam-se os estudos de Soares (2002), Walsh (2010) e Rojo (2012) acerca dos conceitos de letramento digital, letramento multimodal e multiletramento.
