Resumo: Since the approval of new specialty of occupational therapy and new assistive parameters for the area it is necessary to know how universities teach these skills, since the NationalCurriculum Guidelines for undergraduate courses in the country are prior to this discussion. The specialty Hospitals Contexts is one of them. Thus, the study aimed to characterize the institutions offering the course in occupational therapy, investigating the Political Pedagogical Project and curriculum, the specific theoretical and practical disciplines or the like that contribute to the formation of the professional who will work at the hospital. This is a documentary study, exploratory, cross-sectional, with qualitative and quantitative approach. They were included 33 courses. Of them, 14 courses offer subjects related to HospitalContexts. Regarding the practical activities in the hospital only 12 offer. In conclusion we noticed that few universities offer specific disciplines and practices within the hospital. This fact announces the need for discussion on the topic studied since the formation of the occupational therapist must be linked to the need of society and that, in general education, must know all the specialties of the profession.
