Dialogues between undergraduates in biological sciences about the teaching universe and its social representations

Resumo: Social Representations (SR) permeate the initial formation process with the purpose of making unknown subjects common. Thus, this manuscript aimed to identify evidence of SR shared between 20 undergraduate in Biological Sciences, from two public universities in Paraná, regarding the epistemology of science, teaching and learning and training and teaching activity. The procedure for collecting information was based on interviews with four focus groups and, for the analysis of this information, content analysis was used. The results indicated that among the undergraduate at University A no nuances of SR were observed. However, among University B graduates, the sharing of views was verified, reporting the teacher as a transmitter and center of the teaching process, indicative of the presence of SR that permeate during the graduation years.

Dessa forma, este manuscrito objetivou identificar indícios de RS compartilhadas entre 20 licenciandos(as) iniciantes e concluintes do curso de licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas, de duas universidades públicas do Paraná, a respeito da epistemologia da ciência, ensino e aprendizagem e formação e atividade docente. O procedimento para a coleta de informações baseou-se em entrevistas com quatro grupos focais e, para a apreciação dessas informações, foi empregada a análise de conteúdo. Os resultados indicaram que entre os(as) licenciandos(as) iniciantes e concluintes da Universidade A não foram observados nuances de RS.
