Reasoning of students interacting with mobile devices: numerical or geometric touches and retouches

Resumo: We discuss some theoretical foundations that can support the analysis of the use of mobile devices with touchscreen in learning and research in scientific and mathematic education. Two examples from research with High School students are presented: a research focused on capturing and analyzing numeracy forms with the use of the MyScript Calculator application in smartphones and another one aimed at mapping and describing screen touches inherent to the practice of tasks that favor realization of transformations in the plane. Reflections regarding numeracy and geometry, particularly, concerning the anticipation and refining of strategies or manipulations on screen.
