Resumo: | The work sought to verify what is necessary for a person to be considered as having high cultural capital, thusinvestigating the historical persistence, new conceptions and the role of science in the context. Participated in this research 67 students. Therefore, used a questionnaire was divided into three stages that aimed to verify: the socio-demographic profile of the students, cultural practices of these participants, and what is needed to be a cultured person. The analysis was based on the ideas of Bourdieu, and it was seen that although many authors judge what was described as legitimate culture in the 1970s as outdated, most interviewees believe that cultural practices such as going to the theater and mastering the cultured language are necessary for a person to be considered cult, which corroboratesthe Bourdieusian theory. However, new concepts were also observed, for example, being engaged in social causes and go to congresses. |
