Resumo: The aim of this work was to analyze the ways university teachers integrate virtual learning environments (VLE) into their teaching process. The study was conduct with 12 teachers of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, who first adopted an Web courses authoring tool. The thematic content analyses of the interviews show that the VLE was integrated for: content access and organization, distance activities, communication and evaluation. Results suggests that professors who teach similar content, with similar pedagogical concerns, tend to use the VLE in a similar way. Corroborate, therefore, with the discussion that the comprehension of the diversity of potentialities and limitations of the ICDT must be situated in the context of each area of curricular knowledge with its specific pedagogical approaches.

Participaram 12 professores da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, pioneiros no uso de uma ferramenta de autoria de recursos educativos na Web. Na análise temática de conteúdo das entrevistas realizadas com os professores, constatou-se que os AVA foram integrados ao ensino presencial para: organização e disponibilização de materiais educativos, realização de atividades à distância, comunicação e acompanhamento dos alunos. Os resultados indicam uma tendência de professores de áreas de conteúdo de natureza semelhante, com desafios pedagógicos parecidos, apresentarem proximidade nas formas de integração das TDIC.
