Resumo: The elaboration of this Project has started through the analysis surrounding the retextualization process of older people. Retextualization is an unexceptional process that allows the freedom of speech and reaches a higher number of speakers. For this reason, the theoretical basis of this project is supported by theoretical links that allow us to analyze the retextualization process through language practice. Therefore, our goal was to analyze the retextualization process as well as the authorship of narrations produced, based on facts related by elders. The retextualizations, as well as the originals, come from “Projeto Ouvir e Contar” from “Instituto História Viva”. We even highlight the referring matters to different tellers that took place during the process like the elder, the retextualizator and the child. The analyzed texts in this study allow us to acknowledge that retextualization overcomes the mere reproduction of speeches, bringing to them new significance from the moment they become part of a new text, composing the dialogic character of language. We could even notice that retextualized texts reveal different authorial positions and that these positions come from the most varied conditions of production and circulation of retextualizations.

A retextualização é um processo corriqueiro que possibilita a democratização dos discursos e o alcance de um número maior de interlocutores. Por essa razão, embasamos teoricamente este trabalho em filiações teóricas que nos permitissem analisar os processos de retextualização como práticas de linguagem. Nosso objetivo, portanto, foi analisar o processo de retextualização e autoria nas narrativas produzidas com base nos fatos relatados por idosos. As retextualizações e textos originais são oriundos do Projeto Ouvir e Contar do Instituto História Viva. Destacamos ainda questões referentes à autoria dos diferentes locutores presentes neste processo, o idoso, o retextualizador e a criança. Os textos analisados nesse estudo nos permitem reconhecer que a retextualização supera a mera reprodução de discursos resignificando-os no momento em que passam constituir um novo texto denotando o caráter dialógico da linguagem.
