Resumo:  This text consists of an essay that takes the character of G.H the Romance "A Paixão Segundo G.H." written by Clarice Lispector as emblematic of a type of knowledge experience. This text discusses an experience of knowledge based on the encounter with the terrible embodied in the daily reality of a Cockroach, far from the experience of knowledge as proposed by reason clarified. For this, and argue with the contributions of critical theory, especially with the reflections of Adorno and Horkheimer.

Discute uma experiência de conhecimento baseada no encontro com o terrível encarnado na realidade cotidiana de uma barata, distante da experiência de conhecimento tal como proposta pela razão esclarecida. Para tal, dialoga com as contribuições da teoria crítica, especialmente, com as reflexões de Adorno e Horkheimer a respeito da relação entre conhecimento e esclarecimento.
