Resumo: Adopted as a theoretical reference at contributions of the Rhetorical Analysis ofDiscourse and Pragmatic, this article has as main objective to investigate the main game in thisgenre argumentative textual chronic. To illustrate what the linguistic strategies used by thechronicler to convince and persuade the reader/interlocutor, we selected the chronic “O críticoteatral vai ao casamento”, of Millôr Fernandes.
