Metallic support and fastening structures for photovoltaic modules - case study: implementation in a company in the industrial district of Manaus / Estruturas metálicas de suporte e fixação para módulos fotovoltaicos – estudo de caso: implantação em uma empresa no distrito industrial de Manaus

Resumo: Given the exponential growth of studies in the area of energy efficiency, energy quality, and the intense search for modernity and energy production that has been causing a series of changes in our behavior and, especially, in the environment. Along with this, we have seen a great development of the so-called renewable technologies in our daily lives, such as the insertion of photovoltaic panels and wind power plants, for example. However, they tend to be impacted by several factors, such as dirt, temperature, degradation, orientation angle and inclination, as well as terrain topography and module manufacturing quality. The present work aims to contribute to a better understanding of the use of metallic support and attachment structures for photovoltaic modules by proposing effective methods for their installation. Based on this context an analysis of the viability of the site, the usable area for the installation of the modules, the definition of the components, the cost estimate for the execution of the project, the sustainability of the photovoltaic system, as well as the analysis of quality and maintenance were performed. The results show that a quality execution requires a whole planning that must be followed correctly step by step, as well as its characteristics and alternative solutions, thus enabling its insertion in the urban environment.
