Resumo: This undergraduate thesis has the general objective of analyzing how the backlash effect is manifested in the Federative Republic of Brazil within the current national legal scenario. As for the methodology used to carry out the present study, there is an exploratory research and a qualitative approach. As for the data collection procedures, the bibliographic and the documentary were used. The presented outcome showed that the phenomenon manifests itself in Brazil, mainly through legislative reactions, social manifestations, media criticism and strengthening of candidates in the electoral platform, especially from conservative groups. After conducting the research, it was concluded that the impact level of the effect in Brazil is still weak and barely studied. However, in practice, it is considerably felt in some sectors of society, politics and in the Brazilian legal system.

Quanto à metodologia utilizada para a realização do presente estudo, denota-se a pesquisa exploratória e abordagem qualitativa. Quanto aos procedimentos de coleta de dados, utilizou-se o bibliográfico e o documental. O resultado apresentado demonstrou que o fenômeno se manifesta no Brasil, principalmente, através de reações legislativas, manifestações sociais, críticas midiáticas e fortalecimento dos candidatos na plataforma eleitoral, especialmente de grupos conservadores. Após a realização da pesquisa, concluiu-se que o nível de impacto do efeito no Brasil, ainda é fraco e pouco estudado.
