O processo de aprendizagem na disciplina de Biologia na visão dos estudantes matriculados no CEJA – Tubarão/SC

Resumo: | The teaching of biology has an important role in the development of notions of environment, conceptions, relationships existing between living and non-living beings, promoting discussions that allow understanding the universe and enabling the ability to reflect, evaluate and develop knowledge about biological procedures . Thus, this research had as objective to verify how is the learning process of the Biology discipline, in the view of the students enrolled in the JSCA - Tubarão / SC Adult Education Center of the state education network. In order to achieve this objective, a descriptive research was used, with a qualitative approach. Regarding the procedure of data collection, this is a field survey. As for the instruments for data collection, a questionnaire containing 15 open questions was used, according to Pinto (2009). With the answers to these questions it was possible: (a) to draw a profile of the population surveyed; (b) knowing the reasons that led the students to stop studying and the time they were stopped; (c) ascertain activities that were not attractive in the classroom and discover the concept of good teacher for these students; (d) raise the main difficulties presented in the discipline of Biology; and (e) verify the role of the school from the perspective of students enrolled in the JSCA. From the analysis of the data collected, it was possible to verify that the major cause of school dropout is due to the need to work and, among the students, most did not like evidence. The vision of the students of a good teacher is one who has patience and help in difficulties, clearly explaining the contents. In relation to the discipline of Biology, by the analysis of the data, the students presented no difficulties. In this way, it was also verified that the school fulfills its role of working with the students, knowledge historically constructed by the man, distributed in his curriculum, which follows the theoretical-methodological assumptions of the Curricular Proposal of the State of Santa Catarina . Therefore, contributing to the training of the student, in a process of learning from the needs of the students. |

Assim, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo verificar como está o processo de aprendizagem da disciplina de Biologia, na visão dos estudantes matriculados no CEJA – Centro de Educação de Jovens e Adultos de Tubarão/SC da rede estadual de educação. Para que o objetivo fosse alcançado, foi utilizada uma pesquisa descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa. Referente ao procedimento de coleta de dados, se trata de uma pesquisa de campo. Quanto aos instrumentos para coleta de dados, foi utilizado um questionário contendo 15 questões abertas, conforme Pinto (2009). Com as respostas a essas questões foi possível: (a) traçar um perfil da população pesquisada; (b) conhecer os motivos que levaram os estudantes a pararem de estudar e o tempo que ficaram parados; (c) averiguar as atividades que não eram atrativas em sala de aula e descobrir a concepção de bom professor para esses estudantes; (d) levantar as principais dificuldades apresentadas na disciplina de Biologia; e (e) verificar a função da escola, na perspectiva dos estudantes matriculados no CEJA. A partir da análise dos dados coletados, foi possível verificar que a maior causa da evasão escolar é devido à necessidade de trabalhar e, dentre os estudantes, a maioria não gostavam de provas. A visão dos estudantes de um bom professor é aquele que possui paciência e ajuda nas dificuldades, explicando com clareza os conteúdos. Em relação à disciplina de Biologia, pela análise dos dados, os estudantes não apresentaram dificuldades. Desta forma, pôde-se verificar, também, que a escola cumpre com o seu papel de trabalhar com os alunos conhecimentos historicamente construídos pelo homem, distribuídos em sua grade curricular, que segue os pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da Proposta Curricular do Estado de Santa Catarina.
