Resumo: This work aims to elaborate a program for the Prevention of Occupational Hazards (PPRO) of the construction of a hydroelectric power plant located in the municipality of Lagoa Vermelha, state of Rio Grande do Sul. Visits were made to the site for data collection and identification of the risks present in the environment and work processes. From the identification of the risks, the PPRO was elaborated, which aims to propose improvements in the environment and working conditions so that it is possible to eliminate and/or minimize the number of diseases and accidents caused by the work activities. Besides, administrative measures are defined to be taken in order to monitor and ensure the operation of the programme.

Foram efetuadas visitas ao canteiro de obra para coleta dos dados e identificação dos riscos presentes no ambiente e processos de trabalho. A partir da identificação dos riscos, foi elaborado o PPRO, que tem como objetivo propor melhorias no ambiente e condições de trabalho para que seja possível eliminar e/ou minimizar o número de doenças e acidentes ocasionados em função das atividades laborais.
