The purpose of this monograph was to analyze whether wage attachment is possible for the payment of non-food debts. The research can be classified, in terms of level, as exploratory; as to the approach, as qualitative; and regarding the data collection procedure, such as bibliographic and documentary. Its development consisted of analyzing the Brazilian bibliography on the civil process and the execution process, as well as analyzing legislative changes on the subject in the Civil Procedure Code and in the jurisprudence. For this we divided this monograph into five chapters with the following titles: Introduction, Execution Process, Salary and Remuneration, Legislative Changes and the Possibility of Wage Attachment, and finally the Conclusion. It was found that there is the possibility of wage garnishment for the payment of debts, even if non-food, and this possibility is objective in the case of debtors with remuneration above fifty minimum wages, or, in case of debtor with remuneration below this amount, the individual case must be analyzed subjectively, comparing the amount of the debt, and the pledged percentage in order to satisfy the creditor without causing damage to the debtor, leaving the latter sufficient for survival and self-support and your family.
