Pescadores artesanais da Praia do Porto de Imbituba/SC: percepção e saberes locais

Resumo: The current work aimed to comprehend the artisanal fishermen perception, in the region of Praia do Porto located in Imbituba in the state of Santa Catarina, about the local knowledge (heritaged, built and transmitted) aiming the appreciation of such knowledge and its insertion as a tool of environmental education. A qualitative research was made enphasizing the phenomenological perception and semi-structured interviews with four tradicional fishermen were performed, recordered, transcribed and interpreted in a light of an adaptation of the discursive textual analysis. Some results: the fishermen have pertinent knowledge related to fishery and nature which are taught from generation to generation; they do not recognize themselves as important individuals to the community; they present an empirical knowledge of great importance, in addition, it is an alternative to recognize the culture and the communities knowledge. Thus, the knowledge appreciation and the insertion of the theme of the local knowledge perception as tools to and for the environmental education have been presented as urgent possibilities. Environmental education.O presente trabalho objetivou compreender a percepção dos pescadores artesanais, da região da Praia do Porto em Imbituba/SC, acerca dos saberes locais (herdados, construídos e transmitidos), visando à valorização de tais saberes e sua inserção como instrumento de Educação Ambiental. Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa, com ênfase no estudo da percepção fenomenológica. Foram empregadas entrevistas semiestruturadas junto a quatro pescadores tradicionais, gravadas, transcritas e interpretadas à luz de uma adaptação da Análise Textual Discursiva. Alguns resultados: os pescadores possuem conhecimentos atinentes à pesca e à natureza passados de geração em geração; não se reconhecem como sujeitos importantes à comunidade; apresentam um conhecimento empírico de grande importância, além disso trata-se de uma alternativa de reconhecimento da cultura e dos saberes destas comunidades.
