The tourism sector is considered one of the most promising in the world economy and has become hegemonic in its relevance, relegating to the background several traditionally important sectors of the economy. In this sense, this work aimed to analyze the influence of Mercosur tourists in the State of Santa Catarina and Garopaba / SC, considering that tourism activity has been strongly stimulated in the last decades. Using information collected through research, research institutes and statistics, and with the support of the Garopaba City Hall, a quantitative data analysis was done, together with a theoretical basis to explain how tourism, Economic agent of the city, develops and influences the economy of this region. It was possible to verify that of the countries that emit tourists of Brazil, the majority comes from Argentina, being that mainly in the summer, the beaches of Santa Catarina, among them Garopaba, are taken by Argentine tourists. As a result, it was noticed that the Municipality of Garopaba has an infrastructure totally focused on the tourism sector and that every day is developing more due to the high demand. This makes the Municipality make the sun and the sea its main source of supply and development. Located in the south of the state of Santa Catarina, Garopaba is situated on the coast, surrounded by eight beautiful beaches and a beautiful and exotic landscape, and it is through these beauties that the Municipality gains economic sustainability.
