Resumo: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a disorder of conduct is chronic, with a very important biological substrate, not due to a single cause, has a strong genetic basis and is formed by a heterogeneous group of children. It includes children with normal intelligence, who have significant difficulties in conforming, in terms of behavior and/or learning, to the norms expected for their age. Being divided into three subtypes called as Inattentive Subtype, Hyperactive/Impulsive Subtype and Combined Subtype. The objective of this work was to characterize cognitive performance, higher cortical functions and school performance. Using the WISC III, TLN-Ce TDE as an evaluation instrument. Thirteen children were evaluated, with a mean age of 9 years, most of them male, attending elementary school in the published network in the region of Campinas. As a result, the group presents cognitive performance within the average, with better results in the factorial indices of perceptual organization and verbal comprehension. In the evaluation of cortical functions had worse performance in academic areas, pace and tactile ability. In the evaluation of school performance, he presented difficulty in writing, arithmetic and reading.

Incluye a niños con inteligencia normal, que tienen importantes dificultades para adaptarse en términos de comportamiento y/o aprendizaje a las normas esperadas para su edad. Dividiéndose en tres subtipos denominados Subtipo Inatento, Subtipo Hiperactivo/Impulsivo y Subtipo Combinado. El objetivo de este trabajo fue caracterizar el rendimiento cognitivo, las funciones corticales superiores y el rendimiento escolar. Utilizando el WISC III, TLN-Ce TDE como instrumento de evaluación. Fueron evaluados 13 niños, con una media de edad de 9 años, la mayoría del sexo masculino, cursando la enseñanza fundamental de la red publicada en la región de Campinas. Como resultado, el grupo presenta un desempeño cognitivo dentro de la media, con mejores resultados en los índices factoriales de organización perceptual y comprensión verbal. En la evaluación de las funciones corticales había peor desempeño en áreas académicas, ritmo y habilidad táctil. En la evaluación del desempeño escolar presentó dificultad para escritura, aritmética y lectura.O Transtorno de Déficit de Atenção e Hiperatividade é um transtorno de conduta é crônico, com substrato biológico muito importante, não devido a uma única causa, apresenta forte base genética e é formado por um grupo heterogêneo de crianças. Inclui crianças com inteligência normal, que apresentam dificuldades significativas para se adequar em termos de comportamento e/ou aprendizagem às normas esperadas para sua idade. Sendo dividido em três subtipos denominados como Subtipo Desatento,  Subtipo Hiperativo/Impulsivo e Subtipo Combinado. O objetivo deste trabalho foi caracterizar o desempenho cognitivo, de funções corticais superiores e escolar. Utilizando como instrumento de avaliação o WISC Ill, TLN-Ce TDE. Foram avaliadas 13 crianças, com idade média de 9 anos, sendo a sua maioria do sexo masculino, frequentando o ensino fundamental da rede publicada região de Campinas. Como resultado, o grupo apresenta desempenho cognitivo dentro da média, com melhor resultado nos índices fatoriais de organização perceptual e compreensão verba. Na avaliação das funções corticais tiveram pior desempenho nas áreas cadêmicas, ritmo e habilidade tátil.
