Resumo: | Introduction: As if the health demands traditionally existing in the Primary Health Care (PHC) network were not enough, a viral pandemic of COVID-19 emerged in 2019, affecting hundreds of thousands of individuals across the country and increasing the workload of these professionals. Objective: To assess the quality of life and the prevalence of burnout syndrome among PHC professionals in a medium-sized municipality in the Brazilian Amazon during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: In a cross-sectional descriptive study carried out in 2021 with a quantitative method, the biopsychosocial characteristics of 164 professionals involved with PHC in the municipality of Ji-Paraná, the State of Rondônia, were identified. The Maslach burnout inventory was used to investigate the dimensions described in the burnout syndrome. The World Health Organization's quality of life questionnaire (WHOQOL-bref) was applied to assess the participant's perception of their quality of life (QoL). Results: The domain in QOL with the greatest negative impact was the environmental one. Regarding the existing dimensions of the burnout syndrome found that 33.5% had a high degree of emotional exhaustion, and 84.4% had high depersonalization. Conclusion: It was found that the QOL of PHC professionals was compromised, mainly in the environmental domain, and depersonalization was high in the assessment of burnout syndrome. Although, the perception of professional fulfillment of these individuals remains high. |

Although, the perception of professional fulfillment of these individuals remains high.
