Resumo: This article aims to identify and understand, from the perspective of professors of the AgulhasNegras Military Academy (AMAN), the elements that constituted the process of professionaldevelopment of teachers. This was a qualitative research whose data collection occurred througha survey conducted with teachers from the Teaching Division. Through documentary and contentanalysis, the results revealed that the teachers considered the institution a favorable space forthe professional development of teachers and that the varied formative possibilities providedbetter conditions of professional activity and understanding of the singular context and institutionalculture.

O presente artigo tem por objetivo identificar e compreender, a partir da perspectiva deprofessores da Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (AMAN), os elementos que constituíram oprocesso de desenvolvimento profissional docente. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa,mesmo utilizando dados de natureza quantitativa também, cuja coleta ocorreu por meio de umsurvey realizado com professores da Divisão de Ensino. Por intermédio da análise documental ede conteúdo, os resultados revelaram que os professores consideravam a instituição um espaçofavorável ao desenvolvimento profissional dos docentes e que as variadas possibilidadesformativas oportunizavam melhores condições de atuação profissional e de compreensão dosingular contexto e da cultura institucional.
