Of stone-word to egg-puzzle: Poetic image in João Cabral de Melo Neto

Resumo: Based on the poem “O ovo de galinha”, published in the book Serial (1961), we propose, in this article, to clarify stylistic strategies at poetry of João Cabral de Melo Neto, that allows the perception of the egg while aesthetic object. Among other contributions, we support on the conception of poetic image of Octavio Paz and Martin Heidegger’s theoretical contributions (2012) about art and poetry to dwell the aesthetic aspects of the chosen poem. Thus, through an analytical approach, we see the Pernambuco author’s approach to language when he designs the process of composing the poetic text based on the unauthorized observation of the images of the real.

Entre otras aportaciones, nos apoyamos en la concepción de imagen poética de Octavio Paz y las aportaciones teóricas de Martin Heidegger sobre arte y poesía para abordar los aspectos estéticos del poema elegido. En este sentido, a través de un enfoque analítico, observamos la lectura del autor Pernambucano, cuando decidas el proceso de composición del texto poético a partir de la observación no autorizada de las imágenes de lo real.A partir do poema “O ovo de galinha”, publicado na obra Serial (1961), propomo-nos, neste artigo, clarificar as estratégias estilísticas na poesia de João Cabral de Melo Neto que possibilitam a percepção do ovo enquanto objeto estético. Dentre outros contributos, apoiamo-nos na concepção de imagem poética de Octavio Paz e nos aportes teóricos de Martin Heidegger acerca de arte e poesia para debruçarmo-nos sobre os aspectos estéticos do poema escolhido.
