Teachers as protagonists in the production of games: dynamic aspects and action protocol

Resumo: This article brings results from the first stage of implementation of a research project on science education for Portuguese classes as mother tongue. We characterize the work carried out as participatory research (BRANDÃO; STRECK, 2006; SILVA, 2010), responsible for the involvement of elementary school teachers as producers of specialized knowledge, in partnership with university representatives. This methodological perspective characterizes the type of emancipatory work characteristic of the scientific education approach developed in Applied Linguistics (SILVA, 2021a; 2020; 2019). We describe the collaborative process of outlining dynamic aspects that characterize digital didactic games (RIBEIRO, 2021). The identified aspects were narrative, challenge, self-explanation, movement and multimodality. The latter was broken down into image, orality, writing and sound effect. These aspects are responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness desired by the project team in game production. We also provide a dynamic protocol that can contribute to the production and analysis of educational games.

Caracterizamos o trabalho realizado como uma pesquisa participante (BRANDÃO; STRECK, 2006; SILVA, 2010), responsável pelo envolvimento de professores da escola básica como produtores de conhecimento especializado, em parceria com representantes da universidade. Essa perspectiva metodológica caracteriza o tipo de trabalho emancipatório característico da abordagem da educação científica, desenvolvida na Linguística Aplicada (SILVA, 2021a; 2020; 2019). Descrevemos o processo colaborativo de delineamento de aspectos dinâmicos caracterizadores de jogos didáticos digitais (RIBEIRO, 2021). Os aspectos identificados foram narrativa, desafio, autoexplicação, movimento e multimodalidade. Esse último foi desdobrado em imagem, oralidade, escrita e efeito sonoro. Esses aspectos são responsáveis pela garantia da qualidade e eficácia desejadas pela equipe do projeto na produção de jogos.
