Diagnosis of Physical Education Classes in the State of Rio Grande do Sul During the Covid-19 Pandemic

Resumo: | In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, changes occurred in the organization of society, which needed to happen quickly and without planning. These changes also influenced education and led institutions to reorganize themselves, evaluating the possibility of offering what is being called “Remote Education”. This process led teachers to encounter many new challenges. Thus, the present study seeks to investigate how Physical Education teachers in the state of Rio Grande do Sul developed their classes during social isolation measures. 244 Physical Education teachers from the final years of elementary and high school participated in the study. As an instrument of data collection, an online questionnaire was used, developed in the Google Forms application, with the main points addressed: the profile of Physical Education teachers, the development of classes, the resources used, the activities and the contents covered in them. The results showed that in relation to the mastery of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), teachers in general showed a good command. Regarding the development of classes, most teachers, regardless of the network and level of education, managed to teach them remotely as planned, being carried out theoretical and practical activities, and the most used resource by them was WhatsApp/Social Networks. Thus, we concluded that the teachers were able to continue with the teaching activities, however, having to adapt the teaching methodologies. Keywords: Physical education. Covid -19. Remote education.Diante do contexto da pandemia da Covid-19, ocorreram mudanças na organização da sociedade que se deram rapidamente e sem planejamento. Essas mudanças também influenciaram a educação e levaram as instituições a reorganizarem-se e a avaliar a possibilidade de ofertar o que está sendo denominado “Ensino Remoto”. Esse processo levou os professores a encontrarem muitos e novos desafios. Assim, o presente estudo buscou investigar como os professores de Educação Física do estado Rio Grande do Sul desenvolveram suas aulas durante as medidas de isolamento social. Participaram do estudo 244 professores de Educação Física dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental e do Ensino Médio. Como instrumento de coletas de dados foi utilizado um questionário on-line, desenvolvido no aplicativo Google Forms, tendo como principais pontos abordados: o perfil dos professores de Educação Física, desenvolvimento das aulas, os recursos utilizados, as atividades e os conteúdos abordados. Os resultados demonstraram que, em relação ao domínio das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TICs), os professores, em geral, apresentaram autopercepção de terem um bom domínio. Já sobre o desenvolvimento das aulas, a maioria dos professores, independente da rede e nível de ensino, conseguiu ministrá-las remotamente conforme o previsto, sendo realizadas atividades teóricas e práticas; e o recurso mais utilizado por eles foi o WhatsApp/Redes Sociais. Dessa forma, concluiu-se que os professores conseguiram dar seguimento às atividades letivas, para tanto, tendo de adaptar as metodologias de ensino. Palavras-chave: Educação física. Covid-19.
