Resumo: | The COVID-19 pandemic and its characteristics of rapid dissemination and potential for infectivity led the world to adopt measures to suspend the most varied activities, including higher education. With this, different challenges and obstacles shaped the emergency remote teaching model adopted by Brazilian public universities. To contribute to studies on the subject, this article sought to analyze the perceptions of students at a Brazilian public university, regarding the adoption of emergency remote teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, a qualitative and exploratory study was developed, with 392 open responses from students at a federal university in southern Brazil. Data content analysis reached six categories that grouped 65 codes, consisting of 982 excerpts of responses. Among the main findings of the work are the lack of standardization in the models of platforms adopted and criteria for the development of activities and assessments. In addition, issues related to students' emotional difficulties in dealing with the moment of pandemic were also reported. Keywords: Emergency remote learning. Pandemic. Content analysis. Public university.A rápida disseminação e alto potencial de infectividade da Covid-19 levaram o mundo ao estabelecimento de medidas como a suspensão das mais variadas atividades no modelo presencial "• entre elas, o ensino superior. Dada a urgência dessas medidas, inúmeros desafios e obstáculos foram encontrados para a formatação do modelo de Ensino Remoto Emergencial, adotado pelas universidades públicas brasileiras, em substituição ao ensino presencial. Com o objetivo de contribuir com os estudos sobre o tema, o presente artigo buscou analisar as percepções dos estudantes de uma universidade pública brasileira sobre esse modelo, em vigor durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Para tanto, um questionário foi aplicado aos alunos da universidade, contando com 392 respostas abertas, analisadas qualitativamente e de maneira exploratória. A análise de conteúdo dos dados chegou a seis categorias, que agruparam 65 códigos, compostos por 982 trechos de respostas: aulas online, alunos, professores, qualidade, atividades e ambiente. Resultados do trabalho evidenciam que os alunos sentem-se afetados com a falta de padronização dos modelos de plataformas adotadas, bem como pelos critérios para o desenvolvimento de atividades e avaliações. Além disso, questões relacionadas a dificuldades emocionais e desgaste dos alunos em lidar com o momento também foram relatadas. Palavras-chave: Ensino remoto emergencial. Pandemia.
