Resumo: | In Brazil, the reality of high school becomes tariff in research agendas in education. It is noted that expansion of secondary education is structured within a scenario of recent educational policies, the results of independent evaluations by the shortage of teachers and also by the new teachers training policies, associated to the demands of young Brazilians. The objective of this paper is to present data and analysis from a literature review in order to understand the principles that guide to secondary education in this country. The main frameworks adopted are the official documents MEC / INEP, as well as research reports and studies that have the merit to think the main issues on this educational segment. They identify new and old challenges, and advances and obstacles, but without denying its expansion and strategic position in the formation of youth and building a more equitable and just society model. |

Se observa que la expansion de la educacion secundaria se estructura en un escenario de politicas educativas recientes, los resultados de las evaluaciones independientes realizadas por la escasez de maestros y tambien las nuevas politicas de formacion de profesores, asociados a las demandas de los jovenes brasileños. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar los datos y el analisis de una revision de la literatura con el fin de entender los principios que guian a la educacion secundaria en este pais. Los principales marcos adoptados son los documentos oficiales MEC / INEP, asi como informes de investigación y estudios que tienen el merito de pensar los problemas principales en este segmento educativo. Identifican nuevos y viejos desafios, y los avances y obstaculos, pero sin negar su expansion y su posicion estrategica en la formacion de los jovenes y la construcción de un modelo de sociedad mas equitativa y justa.No Brasil, a realidade do Ensino Medio torna-se pauta nas agendas de pesquisa em educação. Constata-se que a expansao do ensino medio se estrutura dentro de um cenario constituido pelas recentes politicas educacionais, pelos resultados das avaliações externas, pela escassez de docentes e ainda, pelas politicas de formação de novos professores, associados às demandas dos jovens brasileiros. O objetivo deste texto e apresentar dados e analises, a partir de uma revisao bibliografica, no intuito de compreender os caminhos que norteiam à educação secundaria no pais. Os principais referenciais adotados sao os documentos oficias MEC/INEP, alem de relatorios de pesquisas e estudos que tem o merito de pensar as principais questoes sobre este segmento de ensino. Identificam-se novos e velhos desafios, alem de avancos e entraves, porem sem negar sua expansao e posicao estrategica na formação da juventude e na construção de um modelo de sociedade mais igualitario e justo.
