THE QUALIFICATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL IN THE STATE NETWORK OF MATO GROSSO

This article aims to analyze how qualification can reflect on the educational work developed by the educational administrative support professional. Based on a research conducted on the qualification policy for these professionals in the state network of Mato Grosso, between 1998 and 2013, we seek to demonstrate that qualification strengthens the professionalism and educational work developed by the educational administrative support professional, considering their role in the democratic spaces of the school. This study is the result of bibliographical research combined with document analysis and empirical research, and it is based on the theoretical frameworks of  Manacorda (2010, 2012), Minayo (1994), Monlevade (2009), Saviani (2005, 2012) and Andrade (2017). The article points to the need for a higher education qualification policy for the educational administrative support professional, as well as the need for specific formation that resonates with the demands of public schools, and the importance of the role of the educational administrative support professional in the places of power in public schools in the face of the Democratic Management Law No. 7.040/1998.
