The present work refers to the Judicial Activism in the Supreme Federal Court of Brazil, whose initial objective is to conceptualize such legal phenomenon, seeking to foment the debate on the subject and to demonstrate the different points of view and consequences of the use of such legal instrument, since its birth and its historical evolution, seeking to identify the effectiveness of the instrumentalization and judicialization of contemporary life and the extent to which the judiciary exercises its competence without usurping that of the other powers of the Republic. The research is based on the diverse points of view observed and extracted from the indoctrinators and the various areas of multidisciplinary knowledge that seek to understand the fact Judicial Activism. By observing the applicability of this instrument in practical cases, which were debated by the Brazilian Supreme Court and its developments beyond the legal world and whether its applicability was disturbed and the purpose sought was achieved. By allowing each one to reflect on such a theme and to be able to make his or her own judgment.
