Resumo: This work elucidates the main legal provisions intended to regulate rights and duties that must be observed when carrying out the employment contract for the category of domestic employees. Its main focus is the exposure and characterization of the domestic employee as well as the construction and composition of his employment contract. The work showed how the rights of this class of employees were legally neglected and invisible for a long time. The text clarified the rights that the regulatory law No. 15 of 2015 protected this group of workers. In short, the research was concerned with understanding the origin of domestic work (at the time of slavery), that is, it caused this service to be treated in an inferior and unimportant way, which continues today. Contrary to all this invisibility, these employees did not give up and fought to win their rights prescribed by a specific law today.

Possui como foco primordial a exposição e caracterização do empregado doméstico bem como a construção e composição do seu contrato de trabalho. O trabalho evidenciou como os direitos dessa classe de empregados foram negligenciados e invisíveis juridicamente por muito tempo. O texto esclareceu os direitos que a lei regulamentar de nº 15, de 2015 resguardou a esse grupo de trabalhadores. Em suma, a pesquisa preocupou-se em entender a origem do trabalho doméstico (na época da escravidão), ou seja, fez com que este serviço fosse tratado de forma inferior e sem importância, o que perdura até hoje.
