Linguistics in library courses in Brazil: themes, theoretical and currents

Resumo: The professional librarian has as object of study the recorded information, as well as its processes of analysis, description, retrieval, and mediation. It is understood that all information conveyed in a support is a manifestation of human language, so linguistics, or language science, has a lot to offer in the training of the librarian. It starts with the survey of Brazilian universities in operation that offer the Librarianship course, having as object of analysis the faculties that teach subjects related to linguistics, communication, and information, and that have the menu and the teaching plan available. The objective is to analyze the use of linguistics in the professional training of librarians, for this, disciplines focused on library techniques in common among courses based on linguistics and separated between the theoretical aspects of language will be listed. It is noted that linguistics as a discipline is not offered by most courses, in addition to not being the basis for the structuring of related disciplines. It is concluded that the dedication to linguistic study is still introductory, highlighting the need for studies that deepen this approach to linguistics.

Se entiende que toda información transmitida en un soporte es una manifestación del lenguaje humano, por lo tanto la lingüística, o ciencia del lenguaje, ha tenido mucho que ofrecer en la formación del bibliotecario. Se parte del relevamiento de las universidades brasileñas en funcionamiento que ofrecen la carrera de Biblioteconomía, teniendo como objeto de análisis las facultades que imparten asignaturas relacionadas con la lingüística, la comunicación y la información, y que disponen del menú y del plan de enseñanza. El objetivo es analizar el uso de la lingüística en la formación profesional de los bibliotecarios, para eso se enumeran las disciplinas enfocadas en las técnicas bibliotecarias comunes entre los cursos basados ​​en la lingüística y separadas entre los aspectos teóricos del lenguaje. Se advierte que la lingüística como disciplina no es ofrecida por la mayoría de los cursos, además de no ser la base para la estructuración de disciplinas afines. Se concluye que la dedicación al estudio lingüístico es aún introductoria, destacando la necesidad de estudios que profundicen este acercamiento a la lingüística.O profissional bibliotecário tem como objeto de estudo a informação registrada, assim como os processos de análise, descrição, recuperação e mediação destas. Compreende-se que toda informação veiculada em um suporte é uma manifestação da linguagem humana, logo tem-se que a linguística, ou ciência da linguagem, tem muito a oferecer na formação do bibliotecário. Parte-se do levantamento das universidades brasileiras em funcionamento que oferecem o curso de Biblioteconomia, tendo como objeto de análise as faculdades que ministram disciplinas correlatas à linguística, comunicação e informação, e que tenham disponíveis a ementa e o plano de ensino. O objetivo é analisar o uso da linguística na formação profissional do bibliotecário, para isto, serão elencadas disciplinas voltadas às técnicas biblioteconômicas em comum entre os cursos com fundamentação na linguística e separados entre as vertentes teóricas da linguagem. Nota-se que linguística como disciplina não é ofertada pela maioria dos cursos, além de não ser a base na estruturação das disciplinas correlatas.
