Resumo: The aim of this article is to analyze the participation of the pedagogical sub-area in stricto sensu graduate programs in Physical Education in Brazil from 2013 through 2016. A survey was carried out on the CAPES “Sucupira” Platform, in graduate programs in physical education, and in the LATTES curricula of pedagogical sub-area teachers. Most teachers are linked to lines of research focusing on biodynamics. We analyzed the pedagogical sub-area teachers’ production and realized that most of it is related to sociocultural themes. We conclude that greater production in other areas may indicate a migration process based on the teachers’ survival attempt to remain as advisors in postgraduate programs that belong in area 21.

Foi realizado um levantamento na Capes, Plataforma Sucupira, programas de pós-graduação da área da Educação Física e no currículo lattes dos docentes da subárea pedagógica. A maior parte dos docentes estão vinculados a linhas de pesquisa dedicadas ao tema da biodinâmica. Analisamos a produção dos docentes da subárea pedagógica e percebemos que eles possuem a sua maior produção na temática sociocultural.
