Resumo: | The subject of entrepreneurship presents itself, in the current context, as a feasible and valued way for the subject to be inserted in the current job market. This representation of the entrepreneur circulates in a scenario of reconfiguration of the work environment, as well as changes in state policies, which are identified with neoliberal and global policies. The university incubator is an entity that lies on the border and intersection between two social universes that have different dynamics and concerns: higher education and the world of work. The purpose of this thesis was to investigate how the production of meaning about entrepreneurship and its symbolic consumption in the life narratives communicated by university students associated with business incubators. For this purpose, a qualitative and exploratory survey was carried out in two incubators associated with Higher Education Institutions, one public - CIETEC of the University of São Paulo (USP) - and another private one - the Incubator of ESPM, Escola Superior de Propaganda and Marketing (ESPM). As a data collection technique, in-depth interviews were conducted with incubators of the two institutions. As a data-processing technique, hermeneutics in depth was used in conjunction with Discourse Analysis and Narrative Theory. The analysis made it possible to observe similar strategies for the production of meanings adopted by all university students associated with business incubators, as well as particular strategies that dialogue with the specificities of entrepreneurship practiced in CIETEC and in the ESPM Incubator. |

A incubadora universitária é uma entidade que se encontra na fronteira e intersecção entre dois universos sociais que possuem dinâmicas e preocupações distintas: o ensino superior e o mundo do trabalho. A presente tese teve como objetivo: Investigar como se dá a produção de sentido em torno do empreendedorismo e do seu consumo simbólico nas narrativas de vida comunicadas por universitários associados a incubadoras de negócio. Para tanto, efetuou-se uma Pesquisa Qualitativa e Exploratória, em duas incubadoras associadas a Instituições de Ensino Superior, uma pública – o CIETEC da Universidade de São Paulo (USP) – e outra privada – a Incubadora da ESPM, da Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM). Como técnica de coleta de dados, foram realizadas entrevistas em profundidade com incubados das duas Instituições. Como técnica de tratamento de dados, utilizou-se da Hermenêutica em Profundidade, em conjunto com a Análise do Discursos e a Teoria Narrativa.
