Nursing care for the palliative oncological patient: an integrative review

Resumo: To verify in the available scientific evidence the role of nursing towards the patient in palliative care and their care. This is an integrative literature review carried out from 2016 to 2021 with a search in SCIELO, LILACS, BDENF and MEDLINE databases using the descriptors Palliative Care, Nursing and Cancer. 11 scientific productions were selected that met the objective of the study, prevailing articles from the year 2019. Cancer pain can be alleviated through the application of non-pharmacological care, where they can cause the alleviation of anxiety and other feelings. Humanized and holistic care must be present at all stages of the process, always seeking the best quality of care provided.

Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, realizada no período de 2016 à 2021 com pesquisa em bancos de dados SCIELO, LILACS, BDENF e MEDLINE utilizando os descritores Cuidados Paliativos, Enfermagem e Câncer. Foram selecionadas 11 produções cientificas que atendiam o objetivo do estudo, prevalecendo artigos do ano de 2019. A dor oncológica pode ser atenuada mediante a aplicações de cuidados não farmacológicos, onde os mesmos podem causar a amenização de ansiedade e outros sentimentos.
