Resumo: The present article is a synthesis of a post doctorate research on education at Unisinos. It intends to analyze the education at Santo Antonio Quilombo, in the Brazilian Amazônia Legal, State of Rondônia. This research was theoretically based on the original sources of Latin American education (José Martí, Paulo Freire) and the data reveals an educational system in three spheres: traditional education, Ecovale-Quilombola Education and formal education.
