Resumo: The article analyzes jurisprudential cases of the United Kingdom and Portugal in which LGBT people claim their rights in Europe. That said, the research method was the bibliographic and answered whether the cases addressed can serve as a basis for the decisions of the Brazilian Justice in the recognition of the rights of the LGBT collective in society. This article sought a multidisciplinary approach, based on several branches, such as law, history, among others. The methodology used in this article had a qualitative and exploratory research. Research procedures will make use of documentary and bibliographic research. The research was divided into 2 (two) main themes, plus final considerations, and references. It is concluded that the cases presented can inspire the Brazilian justice to expand LGBT rights.

Dicho esto, el método de investigación fue el bibliográfico y respondió si los casos abordados pueden servir debase para las decisiones de la Justicia brasileña en el reconocimiento de los derechos del colectivo LGBTs en la sociedad. Este artículo buscó un enfoque multidisciplinario, basado en varias ramas, como el derecho, la historia, entre otras. La metodología utilizada en este artículo tuvo una investigación cualitativa y exploratoria. Los procedimientos de investigación harán uso de la investigación documental y bibliográfica. La investigación se dividió en 2 (dos) temas principales, más las consideraciones finales y referencias.
