Resumo: This article aims to analyze the scientific production on the assessment of development and learning at this level of education. For this purpose, a bibliographic search was carried out in the Capes Theses and Dissertations Database. The results pointed to the relevance of the research findings for creating a corpus of reference addressing the theme at a national scale, mainly due to the small number of studies available. They also show the need for further research on the specificities of evaluation processes in very early childhood, since no thesis is dedicated to this age group and only three dissertations concern the assessment of early childhood learning and the daycare context.

Para ello, se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica en la Base de Datos de Tesis y Disertaciones de la Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes). Los resultados señalaron la relevancia de las investigaciones para la constitución del corpus de referentes que abordan el tema a nivel nacional, principalmente por el escaso número de estudios encontrados. También se identificó la necesidad de investigaciones que aborden las especificidades de los procesos de evaluación que se llevan a cabo con la primera infancia, ya que ninguna tesis se dedica a este grupo de edad y solo tres disertaciones evalúan el aprendizaje infantil y el contexto de la guardería.O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a produção científica sobre avaliação do desenvolvimento e aprendizagem na educação infantil. Para tanto, procedeu-se à busca bibliográfica no banco de teses e dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes). Os resultados apontaram a relevância das pesquisas para a constituição do corpus de referenciais que abordam o tema em âmbito nacional, sobretudo em razão do reduzido número de estudos encontrados.
