Resumo: | This “metacase” aims to discuss the process of designing a teaching case in business administration. Starting from an intentionally vague and incomplete initial narrative, we propose an application in the classroom that is intended to show the pertinence of defining and aligning the structural elements (protagonist, context and problem/dilemma) and the structuring dimensions (purpose, target, requisites and preparation, concepts and theories, teaching strategies) of a teaching case. This work can be read both as a teaching case with teaching notes intended for application in case writing courses, and as an article or a small manual with recommendations on how to design teaching cases. Given its unique characteristics, it is published by GVcasos in a different way than usual: exceptionally, both the body of the case and the teaching notes are available for free access. |

Partindo de uma narrativa inicial propositalmente vaga e incompleta, propõe-se uma aplicação em sala de aula cuja finalidade é evidenciar a pertinência de instituir e alinhar os elementos estruturais (protagonista, contexto e problema/dilema) e as dimensões estruturantes (propósito, enfoque, requisitos e preparação, conceitos e teorias, estratégia de ensino) de um caso de ensino. O trabalho tanto pode ser lido como um caso de ensino acompanhado de notas didáticas, pensado para aplicação em cursos sobre escrita de casos, quanto como um artigo ou pequeno manual com recomendações para a elaboração de casos de ensino.
