Distance education in the reproduction of capital: between the expansion of access and the precariousness and alienation of teaching work

Resumo: Distance education has advanced in the Brazilian context, where it is perceived as the object of study in this essay. When considering the changes that took place in the teaching work process because of the distance modality, this study aimed to tension the development of the productivity of teaching work through its rationalization and its possible relationship with the value of the workforce in a broad sense. Specifically, it analyzes the functionality of education for the expanded reproduction of capital, as well as its positive contradictions and limits and having as its motto the Bologna process, the implications of an educational free zone. The main conclusions were: if, on the one hand, there is a democratization of access to education, the rationalization of work, in addition to enabling more accessible education, is immediately related to the precariousness and alienation of the teaching worker and, intrinsically and more broadly, with the decrease in the value of the general labor force, since there is a decrease related to the costs production of the labor force merchandise.

Al considerar los cambios en el proceso de trabajo docente engendrados por la modalidad a distancia, este estudio tuvo como objetivo tensionar el desarrollo de la productividad del trabajo docente por medio de su racionalización y su posible relación con el valor de la fuerza de trabajo en sentido amplio. De forma específica, analiza la funcionalidad de la educación para la reproducción ampliada del capital, así como sus contradicciones positivas y límites y teniendo como lema el proceso de Bolonia, las implicaciones de una zona libre educacional. Las principales conclusiones alcanzadas fueron: si, por un lado hay una democratización del acceso a la educación, la racionalización del trabajo, además de posibilitar una educación más accesible, se relaciona, de forma inmediata, con la precarización y alienación del trabajador docente e, intrínsecamente y de forma más amplia, con la disminución del valor de la fuerza de trabajo general, ya que dimsminuyen los costos relacionados con la producción de la mercadería fuerza de trabajo.A educação a distância tem avançado no contexto brasileiro, locus no qual é percebida como objeto de estudo deste ensaio. Ao considerar as mudanças no processo de trabalho docente engendradas pela modalidade a distância, este estudo teve como objetivo tensionar o desenvolvimento da produtividade do trabalho docente por meio da sua racionalização e sua possível relação com o valor da força de trabalho em sentido amplo. De forma específica, analisa a funcionalidade da educação para a reprodução ampliada do capital, assim como suas contradições positivas e limites e tendo como mote o processo de Bolonha, as implicações de uma zona livre educacional.
