Current configurations of the theme of health in the professional education curricula of physical education in a state university

Resumo: | This paper investigates the current configurations of the theme of health in the professional education curricula in Physical Education (PE) in a state university. It presents partial results of research based on data collected through document analysis of the Course Pedagogical Projects (professional degree course and bachelor’s degree course) and semi-structured interviews with seven teachers who participated in the curricular reformulations of these courses. The analyses were based on Anthony Giddens’ structuration theory, which permitted to highlight the agent-structure relationship and the institutional reproduction/changes. The results show that the current configurations of the theme of health are linked mainly to the Natural and Biological Sciences (with greater evidence in the bachelor’s degree course) and, to a lesser extent, to the Social and Human Sciences/Collective Health (occurring in both courses). The study highlights the challenge of ensuring greater presence of the Social and Human Sciences/Collective Health in the professional education curricula, since PE has increasingly been required to integrate multidisciplinary teams and projects based on expanded health policies. |

Presenta el recorte de una investigación y datos producidos en el análisis documental de los Proyectos Pedagógicos de Curso (Licenciatura y Bachillerato) y entrevistas semiestructuradas con siete profesores que participaron de las reformulaciones curriculares de estos cursos. Los análisis tuvieron base en la teoría de estructuración de Anthony Giddens, con la cual se resaltó la relación agente-estructura y la reproducción/cambios institucionales. Se observa que las configuraciones actuales del tema de salud se vinculan, mayoritariamente, a las Ciencias Naturales y Biológicas (con mayor evidencia en el curso de bachillerato) y, en menor grado, a las Ciencias Sociales y Humanas/Salud Colectiva (con incidencia en ambos cursos). Se destaca el desafío de otorgar mayor presencia a las Ciencias Sociales y Humanas/Salud Colectiva en los currículos de formación, una vez que la EF ha sido solicitada, cada vez más, actuando en equipos multidisciplinarios y en proyectos basados en políticas de salud ampliadas.Este artigo apresenta o recorte de uma pesquisa realizada de 2016 a 2018 que procurou investigar as configurações atuais do tema da saúde nos currículos de formação em educação física de uma universidade pública no Espírito Santo. A pesquisa contou com análise documental dos projetos pedagógicos de curso (licenciatura e bacharelado) e entrevistas semiestruturadas com sete professores que participaram das reformulações curriculares desses cursos. As análises tiveram base na teoria da estruturação de Anthony Giddens, com a qual se ressaltaram a relação agente-estrutura e a reprodução/mudanças institucionais. Observou-se que as configurações atuais do tema da saúde se vinculam, majoritariamente, às ciências naturais e biológicas (com maior evidência no curso de bacharelado) e, em menor grau, às ciências sociais e humanas/saúde coletiva (com incidência em ambos os cursos).
