IMPACTS OF CULTURAL AND PERSONAL CONTROL ON ETHICAL CLIMATE AND PERCEIVED ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT FOR COVID-19

Resumo: The aim of the study is to analyze the impact of cultural and personal control on the ethical climate and perceived organizational support for Covid-19. To collect the data, a questionnaire was applied to the companies listed on the Stock Exchange (B3), obtaining 150 responses. To analyze the data, structural equation modeling and Fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (FsQCA) were applied. The results show that cultural and personal control influences the ethical climate of organizations. The results also show that cultural control has a positive influence on perceived organizational support (POS) for Covid-19, while personal controls have a negative relationship. The investigation contributes by suggesting that, in times of crisis, management controls are modified and, therefore, the combined use of personnel and cultural controls, determine a high ethical climate and greater SOP related to Covid-19 issues.

Para recopilar los datos, se aplicó un encuesta a las empresas que cotizan en la Bolsa de Valores (B3), obteniendo 150 respuestas. Para analizar los datos, se aplicaron modelos de ecuaciones estructurales y análisis comparativo cualitativo de conjuntos difusos (FsQCA). Los resultados muestran que el control cultural y personal influye en el clima ético de las organizaciones. Los resultados también muestran que el control cultural tiene una influencia positiva en apoyo organizacional percibido (AOP) para Covid-19, mientras que los controles personales tienen una relación negativa. Este estudio muestra que los tipos de controles cambian su importancia en la organización, y que el SOP para Covid-19 puede ser un mecanismo importante para enfrentar la pandemia por parte de las organizaciones.O objetivo do estudo é analisar o impacto do controle cultural e pessoal no clima ético e na percepção de suporte organizacional para Covid-19. Para coletar os dados foi aplicado um questionário nas empresas listadas na Bolsa de Valores (B3), com a obtenção de 150 respostas. Para analisar os dados foram aplicados a modelagem de equações estruturais e Fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (FsQCA). Os resultados mostram que o controle cultural e pessoal influência o clima ético das organizações. Os resultados apontam ainda que o controle cultural influencia positivamente no suporte organizacional percebido (SOP) para Covid-19, enquanto os controles de pessoal apresentam relação negativa.
