Resumo: | This text's main objective is to present a discussion about the Climatology subject in ten textbooks used by public and private schools in the country and identify what their level of detail, relation with other content and it’s in applicability before society issues. Some contents are presented in traditional form, wich they have no application in day-by-day of students, neither relation with others subjects found in books and the relationship with the human aspects. Measures should be implemented by school books authors and teachers, to understand the importance of the Climatology subject in the school Geography. Suggest the systemic view as a way of addressing the content, demonstrating the applicability of these and the interrelationship between the themes in the books so that students can understand the society-nature relations in a more comprehensive and thus power be active in their daily lives. |

Suggest the systemic view as a way of addressing the content, demonstrating the applicability of these and the interrelationship between the themes in the books so that students can understand the society-nature relations in a more comprehensive and thus power be active in their daily lives.Este texto tem como objetivo principal apresentar uma discussão acerca dos conteúdos de Climatologia presentes em dez livros didáticos utilizados por escolas da rede pública e particular de ensino do país identificando qual o seu nível de detalhamento, inter-relação com os demais conteúdos e a aplicabilidade dos mesmos diante das questões atuais que permeiam a sociedade. Alguns conteúdos apresentam-se de forma tradicional, onde os mesmos não possuem aplicação no dia-a-dia dos educandos, concatenação com outros itens presentes nos livros e relação com os aspectos humanos. Medidas deveriam ser implementadas, por autores de livros didáticos e professores, no sentido de compreender a importância dos conteúdos de Climatologia no âmbito da Geografia escolar.
